The Chamber in partnership with the Israeli Federation of Chambers of Commerce (איגוד לשכות המסחר) hosted U.S. Under-Secretary Hirschhorn for a round table with representatives of Israeli companies who are subject to Export Control regulations.  This involves re-exporting of sensitive technologies to third countries. Under-Secretary Hirschhorn was interested in the challenges facing the Israeli industry when dealing with the US authorities.

At closing he commented that this interaction helped him gain a better understanding of the environment and to work towards streamlining processes and lowering some of the barriers to trade
