Yakum, January 31, 2024. AmCham's Healthcare Committee members met, at Sanofi's offices, to summarize 2023 committee's activities, and the work plans for 2024. The committee's members include Big-pharma, biotech, medical device, and several leading Israeli hospitals.

The discussion focused on the activities of the rare diseases and oncology workgroups in 2023 and their objectives in 2024. In 2024 the work of the rare diseases workgroup will focus on promoting legislation/regulating of the subject of rare diseases with regards to early diagnosis, accessibility, and policy promotion.

The oncology group will work with key stakeholders in the area of hospitals oncology multidisciplinary meetings (tumor boards).

It was further decided to establish a new workgroup to focus on home hospitalizations and remote medicine.
