Jerusalem, January 30th. U.S. Ambassador Jack Lew met with AmCham Chair Oren Sagi, CEO of Cisco Israel, and with AmCham CEO Oded Rose, together with senior U.S. Embassy officials, at his office in Jerusalem.
Following a presentation of AmCham and its activities, the discussion focused on how the business ties between the U.S. and Israel could be strengthened even further, specifically into strategic areas such as healthcare and foodtech. The discussion further focused on the possible role of U.S. and Israeli businesses weighing in to help stabilize the region and support reduction of violence and greater prosperity for everyone.
The Ambassador was presented with the strategic initiative for healthcare collaboration between Israel and the United States, where AmCham is leading the effort together with U.S. partners, and a further initiative for U.S. – Israel collaboration around Alternative Proteins and FoodTech.
Oren Sagi expressed AmCham's gratitude for the United States outstanding support of Israel's economy and security during the last few months. Oded further applauded the close and warm relationship between AmCham and the various departments at the U.S. Embassy.
