In cooperation with the Commercial and the Consular Sections of the U.S. Embassy, the Chamber held a seminar to launch the E2 VISA in May. The seminar was led by he U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mr. David Friedman. After many years of relentless efforts by the Chamber, especially by the head of the VISA Committee Adv. Zvi Kan-Tor and of the Chamber's staff, the VISA was launched on May 1, 2019.
The E2 VISA allows investors to receive an upgraded work VISA, which, in comparison to the regular work VISA, allows the possibility for the spouse to work, the possibility of a continuous renewal every 5 years, and other benefits. The VISA will promote additional mutual investments and strengthen trade between the two countries.
