Chamber Hosts Eric Hirschhorn Under-Secretary of Commerce for Industry and Security and the Head of the Bureau of Industry and Security

Tuesday, 06 Sep – Thursday, 06 Oct 2016

The Chamber in partnership with the Israeli Federation of Chambers of Commerce (איגוד לשכות המסחר) hosted U.S. Under-Secretary Hirschhorn for a round table with representatives of Israeli companies who are subject to Export Control regulations.

This involves re-exporting of sensitive technologies to third countries. Under Secretary Hirschhorn was interested in the challenges facing the Israeli industry when dealing with the US authorities. At closing he commented that this interaction helped him gain a better understanding of the environment and to work towards streamlining processes and lowering some of the barriers to trade.
