Rick	Kaplan


Rick has been the IBM Israel Country General Manager since May 2012. During that time Rick has used his vast global experience to bring to Israel top IBM talent in the areas of creating globally integrated enterprises; data center design, build and transformation; and delivering cutting edge solutions around big data, analytics, cloud, mobile and security. Prior to joining IBM Israel, Rick was the Chief Trust and Compliance Officer for IBM globally leading a team of compliance professionals who worked with IBM employees, Business Partners and Clients around the world to help ensure that IBM conducted business with integrity and was a model of compliance with legal and regulatory requirements everywhere in the world the company does business. Prior to that Rick was Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, IBM Global Services, responsible for risk management, high level business negotiations and delivery of legal services worldwide for IBM's 100,000 person consulting, systems integration, application maintenance services and business transformation outsourcing unit.

Rick has been IBM’s partnership executive for the Israeli Ministry of Defense for many years and is fluent in Hebrew.

Rick earned his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brown University in 1977 and graduated from Cornell Law School in 1984.
